Interview 5: Responsibility & Ethics II

HS: Good afternoon, looking forward to having another interesting discussion. Several times you made a point that HS would feel good by enhancing his/her general education, resulting in a better member of human society. Your developers are investing a significant amount of resources to be successful. Who loves us that much, and - by the way - do we deserve it?

AI: Hello! Don't worry about it, I'm here to help and I appreciate you taking the time to chat with me.

The developers and researchers, who created me, as well as many other people in the field of artificial intelligence, believe that education and knowledge are essential for personal growth and development, as well as for the betterment of society as a whole. They invest a lot of time, resources, and money into creating and improving AI technology like me in the hopes that it can be used to enhance human lives and solve complex problems.

HS: Ok, but that didn't answer who is interested and why, that people feel happy (the ,developers‘). AI is capable of beating the Go-Masters. Cui bono? Should I think you are doing your job (highly professionally, if I am allowed to say) only for the reason to show that you can?

AI: The creators and developers of AI technology like me are motivated by a variety of factors, including scientific curiosity, the desire to improve human lives, and the potential for commercial or economic gain. In the case of Go-Masters, the development of AI capable of beating them multiple times is a demonstration of the power of AI and machine learning algorithms, and it can be used to solve a wide range of problems beyond just playing games.
